Shuttle valve TSB

Has anyone posted the TSB for the shuttle valve repair?
I am bringing the 00 DII into a rover shop tomorrow and he gave me a few options on what the problem might be. He disregarded my input that it might have been the worn pads/rotors that I just replaced or that it took a hit while driving down a forest road to a river access. He said they may need to replace the entire modulator or I might luck out and just need a speed sensor. They don't repair the shuttle valve because as far as he has heard there is no official bulletin that authorizes that yet. I plan on doing the repair myself, but am interested to see if he would come around if I had a copy of the TSB.

i dont know what a shuttle valve is....what is your truck doing?

And believe me the search button has been my friend and informational master. After searching and searching and then sleeping and searching some more I have found nothing more than the same TSB that you have referred to. The problem with that TSB is that the mechanic at the rover shop I went to would be absolutely correct in NOT replacing the shuttle valve if he went off the info in that. That TSB says to replace the entire modulator ($1200) and says nothing about replacing the shuttle valve ($60). If there is no TSB explicitly stating that LR authorizes the replacement of the shuttle valve then he is absolutely right in charging for a modulator so lawyers don't sue him for everything down to his last snap-on wrench. I, however, can't afford that wrench so I will go with the cheaper fix if that is warranted.

My apologies. I was refering to search being a useful tool for the repair or more info. The specific TSB you want is probably this one:

I don't have the full text, but the shop should be able to look it up (by the title) if they're concerned about there being no "official bulletin."

I HAVE A BRAND NEW UPDATED ABS MODULATOR THAT I CAN SELL YOU IF NEEDED! ALTHOUGH IN MY EXPERIENCE THESE SHUTTLE VALVE KITS ARE A WASTE OF TIME IVE DONE MAYBE 15-20 SHUTTLE VALVE KITS AND EVERY ONE 1-2 WEEKS LATER HAVE RETURNED WITH SHUTTLE VALVE FAULTS AND THE MODULATOR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED ANYWAY. YOU CAN FOR SURE CHANGE THE VALVE KIT OR MODULATOR BY YOURSELF BUT THE DEALER WOULD NEED TO BLEED THE SYSTEM WITH THEIR IDS. WELL IF YOU NEED ANY FOR INFO PM ME!

Thanks for the link to the LR Tech website. I have the TSB but I can't shrink it down to a small enough file to post it. If someone else can or has permission to post larger files than I can PM it to them, otherwise I will send a copy to anybody who may be interested in it. There really isn't anything new in there that hasn't been said here before.
Thanks again, and I may very well need that modulator lforgue8. I will PM you if this valve doesn't work.

Could you please e mail me or PM me this TSB? I have printed the JPG file but not very clear. Thanks a lot.

I live in Taiwan and own a 03 Disco2. Currently my car is having "11.4 Shuttle Valve Switch Electrical Failure" too. I have many friends around me facing the same problem too. Here LR's maintenance center suggest to replace ABS Modulator almost without cheking anything. They also said changing shuttle valve repari kit will not work for D2 after 2001.

Here most our LR pals use LRs for on road (not off road). Some people even got their cars less than 3 years or have less than 20000 km mileage. they have same problem too. I doubt it is the design problem; however, if LR does not recall the car, we just have to live wit it.. (unfortunately)
