Signs of front or rear driveshaft failure.

What are the signs of either the front or rear driveshafts failing on a D2 with stock shafts? Also what should I look at, u joints, rotoflex?

My truck suddenly started some sort of strange noise/vibe from about 20 up, I thought I had a flat tire at first but its not the tires. Luckily it started on my way back to my house about a mile away so if its the front shaft it didn't break yet. Right now its snowing and dark so I'll check it out tomorrow. I'm just wondering what signs of that front shaft failing are so I know where to look...

One of the sings is a vibration. It should vibrate more during deceleration that acceleration. see if it has any play in it while parked.

I didn't experience any vibrations at first, just small chirping sounds at low speeds then a day later slight vibration. I then took out the propshaft immediately for rebuild.
