cliff notes.
-skaters are taping each other jumping off some stairs.
-2 wanna-be thugs walk by
-comment is made (not sure what is said)
-1 "gang-banger" instantly pulls a small handgun and points it in the face of the skater
-skater attempts to diffuse the situation for a short period of time via talking
-skater finally gets his chance disarms the guy, takes him to the ground, and all his skater friends jump in to beat down the punk with the gun


This situation is nuts. I don't care what the skater said there was legally and no rational reason to pull the firearm on the little skater, regardless of what comment he makes.

The skater did what he could for a while, but finally took a risky, but IMO a necessary chance to make sure him and his buddies didnt get shot.

I was pissed when I saw they stopped beating the little gangbanger before he went unconscious. obviously the kid was a threat to human life, and he looked like he deserved a meeting much more than what he got.

Interesting. I was jumped in Dallas when I was younger. I was skateboarding in Dallas one night and was jumped by a group of guys driving by. I can't remember how many their were. Shit, I don't remember anything. Just that when the first guy jumped out he said, "hey little skater I'll kick your ass". The beating began.

Both of my older brothers were also jumped. One in Dallas by 4 guys and the other while serving his LDS mission in Indiana. The latter one was beaten unconscious with the butt of a gun.

holy shit! that was insane. props to the skater, that kid had nerves of steel in that situation. waited till the perfect moment. that gangster was a joke, just look at how he held the gun.

he did get off easy, i'm surprised that no decks came down on his face.

He held it so close to his own face that he either would have been hit by it or had powder burns from the flash.

I want to know what happened after. Was he arrested? There was an adult there at the end, was the gun taken away? No matter how old he is, that's brandishing a weapon. He could go to jail for that.

Jesus, that kid has stones for fighting a guy like twice his size with a GUN. More power to him, but generally, trying to fight someone holding a gun if you absolutely don't have to is pretty far into the "too risky" zone for me.

The disarm the a little awkwards, but he got away with it. The dirtbag got lucky. A lot of people wouldn't have let up while he was still conscious...or breathing...

i love the beating with the skateboard itself.

personally i think the little skater shoulda killed the prick, it woulda done society some good. but then again the media woulda flipped it and said the white kids killed the minority and it would have been deemed another "hate crime".

If he didn't get laid after that experience someone ought to make it happen.

If he was my kid, I'd scold him for fighting, but I'd still be beaming with pride about the whole thing. If I worked in an office, I'd have stills from the video on the cubicle wall.

In a fluorescent-lit office building, somewhere on the third floor...

"Oh, you know, OK. Me and the wife are fine, I've got a new SUV, my kid beat the crap out of an armed gangster..."
