Before I go on to tell the fun I had at the dealership, could someone explain the process that the technician does with test book upon being told the truck no longer has sls? I need clarification on what was said to me. Irregardless of what the procedure is, they didn't follow it 100% and I am no longer welcome at that particular dealership.
Greg, have you spoken with George at Midwest Motors in Lake Zurich?? Probably your best bet at this point.

Take it out to Hinsdale, ask for JR to do the work. Should have done that in the 1st place. Doesn't anyone in the club have access to a scanner?

To update I'm pulling fusible link 9. The howard orloff guys said that my truck was the second truck they've ever done this to (the tech who did the work on my truck didn't even know that there was a procedure in test book for this). Didn't really inspire confidence. When I said that to their service manager he became a prick, gave me my money back and told me to never come back. Actually he wished me the best in my future endeavors with my truck (in the sincerest way only an asshole can). According to howard orloff land rover, there is no way to tell the slabs unit that the sls is gone and coils are in place. I would have to buy a brand new slabs unit as it is impossible to reprogram the software. This seems illogical to me but I don't know since I'm not a tech. In addition to this, the shop foreman knew that fusible link 9 needed to be pulled but never did it, again, not making me trust their capabilities in fixing a land rover.

Need TB to turn off the SLS as you suspected, Greg. I should have been clearer when I said scanner I meant TestBook. I believe we tried with the handheld TB, but couldn't find the parameters. Disk 35 or 36.

BS on not being able to change the SLABS. I changed mine over using my faultmate. I changed the mode in 2 places, but I'd have to go through the screens again to get the details. (let me know if this would help)

Right now with Fuse Link 9 pulled nothings turning on or tripping warnings so I'm going to let it go for now. Thank you to all who helped, I appreciate it.
When the time comes, I hit you up for help messar.
Cheers
