I talked to a buddy and he said the back-sides of the ridges are solid ice. But there was still enough ruts to keep you from going over the edge.
No ice-wheeling for us!! Yeah, we are wimps but one day stuck on Shoe Creek years ago was enough.
If we get more powder or it melts, maybe later. I want to go check out our cabin some time soon--neighbor says you can get most of the way in there.

You can probably also order online from Autozone or Advance Auto and have them delivered to a store near you. Should take about a day.
All of these will be cheap Chinese chains but for what you are using them for they should be ok.

Thanks for the links, but I didn't find my size... I guess I'll have to watch out for cameras at wm if I can not get them shipped to the auto parts store.

Before I had my own chains, Kavic shared his chains with me. We put them on the front tires of our trucks and it worked pretty well for one of the early GWNF Snow Runs where there was ice. Actually, chains took all the challenge out of it.
