Dang. Not sure if I can make it this year. I love windrock and I need to go to NC for some bike trails.
Chad, a fraternity brother and I are planning a bikepacking trip around that time up to Tsali if you're interested. Just a simple over nighter somewhere back in there. Also probably going to rip up some Windrock every morning before trail rides, it's got some downhill trails.

According to informed sources the food, camping, pavilion for the dinner/auction have all been arranged. We have some donations for the auction rolling in and registration is open. We'll probably be in the upper field just east of the events pavilion where the majority of us camped last year. Hopefully my D-90 will cooperate this year and I won't be forced to make the 4 hour drive in my more comfortable, faster, very well air conditioned LR3 again.....

With the Overland Expo coming up in a few weeks that a bunch of us are also planning on attending look for SAE to be a smaller more relaxed event this year

Just registered earlier tonight for this event. The wife and I will be driving up from Nashville 9/12 in the morning to hit the trails that afternoon/evening. We will be camping (sleeping in our suburban) that evening and have to leave Saturday morning due to other scheduled things. We will be in the green suburban pulling a tan/black rrc (88). We will be looking for our buddy that built all the armor on our ride (Reggie from Rovas Plus) and probably will tag along with him that day. I have ran windrock trails for years back when I was in my old toyota club (TTORA) but I am sure things have changed since then. If anyone sees us and needs help/wants to chat it up just yell. Not sure which trail we will be on as our RRC isnt anything special. Front/rear bumpers, winch, sliders and diff armor but no lockers yet other than LT-230.

Going to register tonight, just need to make sure the girlfriend is good to go.

Didn't have time to hook up the winch, though, bummer. May bring the mountain bike too and ride the mtb
trails early in the morning if anyone is interested

Show up Friday and that evening at camp I would be happy to help you mount/wire in the winch.

Thanks Ty, but I don't have everything I need. I'm having to relocate the solenoid box and don't have the necessary parts yet, it's not at the top of the list.

But I may be eating those words after getting stuck considering the forecast isn't looking so good..

What parts do you need? I got a box full of old winch cables (the electric kind) in the garage some where.

I need extended power cables is all. I'm relocating into the engine bay and the originals aren't long enough.

Any chance you got 'em? Will pay in beer

I guess it depends on length etc. There are a bunch of different lengths. Some of them do need new terminal ends soldered on though. I'll throw the box in the truck and you can come look and see if they will work. If you pick up some copper 2 gauge terminal ends we can probably make up what you need.
