We are trying something new this year for the annual Solaros SAE event - it will be held at the Windrock/Coal Creek off road park in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Coal Creek offers over 250 miles of trails on over 70,000 acres.

Coal Creek is centrally located near Knoxville, Tennessee which we hope will attract participation from all of the Southeastern Land Rover clubs. There is a wide variety of trails for all levels of off road adventures.

As we have traditionally done at previous SAE events we will have an auction to raise money for charity - all proceeds will be donated to the Towns and Union County Chapter of Habitat For Humanity.

We will be reserving an area of the primitive campground for our group. The campground also has bunkie cabins and full cabins available (reserve early) plus full hook-ups for RVs and there are plenty of available hotel rooms in nearby Oak Ridge.

We will have a catered dinner on Saturday evening just before the auction.

Information on registration and costs will be available shortly - we're still working out the details with the campground.

Please get the word out to the membership of other surrounding Land Rover clubs and invite them to join Solaros on September 13-15 for their annual Southern Appalachian Expedition.

FLRC already has plans to attend. We'll drive up GA 15 and hit a couple brewery tours on the way. Get shitty in Athens and head over to Denny's shop then make our way to Oliver Springs up for some good ol' fun. Most likely we'll have a couple MOG's in tow and about 3 to 5 Rovers.

As nice as it was to see some familiar faces and meet new folks at SAE 2012... The Coopers Creek area and surrounding Knobs always leave me wanting more as ar as driving difficulty is concerned. Great location pick this year gents and we'll see ya soon.

And HEY, Newman! I'll bring you that growler of Orlando Brewing Co. you forgot to fill up last month.

I hear that! I measured the back of the 110, and the kegorator fits just fine! It will be there and cold when you roll in. Bring something a little bigger than a growler...just saying....

For the love of God, no butt bongs. If you wear your damned panties hangin outside your pants like these two funnel-chuggers you WILL be the entertainment... I heard you have a hot sister. Just bring her.

Son of a bitch. No rover :-(

Rover not required to attend Solaros events - there will be finger pointing, quiet snickers, and general merriment at the expense of non-Rover owners however - we know you'll be back eventually....

As we like to point out - someone has to be the bad example
