Chris at Badger *is* good. His stuff is like the original stuff, tho', but better.... but, not quieter than, the original...

But you've got a lot of space behind there, I brought home a blue sheet of foam insulation and cut it up to fill in the doors.

interesting point as I was seperating the 2 questions into "how to quiet" and "how to replace the interior material".

not sure if quieting a Series is a moot point though as even with a fair amount of Dynamat in Blueboy, I wouldn't consider it "quiet" on the highway.

Chris did though an excellent job with the interior panels as well as the seats.

Many years ago I knew someone who'd taken the original trim and cut thin marine plywood to match, then covered it and used those. It looked nice and like it would hold up much better.

I don't have a pic on this PC, but I might on the one in my office, I'll check on Monday.

Yes and no; I did order via the site, but I was in on a group-deal over on GnR, we shipped a larger order over together to save on shipping. It helped that I'd spent a lot of time w/ LaSalle bits at TRG, so I knew what I was wanting. We each paid for our own, then split the shipping on the back-end.

A tip: w/ your SIIa, you've got the door-limiters that slide in and out of the tube on the bulkhead, you shouldn't have the problem I've encountered. Since I have a SIII, the way the panels are inset, when the door is fully closed, it pushes the panel out and away from the door.... haven't yet figured out the 'elegant solution' to solve that....

FWIW....

Well, that's what I did. Bought replacement door bits from one of the usual suppliers, but it looked more like cardboard than anything I wanted on my vehicle. Peeled off the vinyl (it came off shockingly easily) and stuck it to some marine ply that was cut to fit...some thin neoprene adhered to the door skin helped deaden the sound - a little bit.

Prior to that, I had simple wood paneling, cut to fit. It was stylin'.... :p
