Does anyone have any tips on where to look for high-mileage (100K-miles+++) cars/trucks? I know craigslist might be an option. I've looked on a number of online classifieds, but not much in the 6-digit mile range.

I'm looking to buy cheap, replace the bits that need replacing, and drive into the ground. I may be a bit optimistic based on my previous/current cars (diesel Jetta 316K, Suzuki SwiftGT 230K, LR Discovery 260K), I've not had to do any major work on any of them.

Hoping that modern-era cars can break the 200K mark easily? I put 22Kmi/year (10yr avg) on the Disco, and don't even drive to work.

It is usally harder to find low mileage cars than high mileage. Check your local used car dealer, Especially a wholesale operation. They usally buy all of the trade ins off of new car stores that they don't want. This usally means they have to take high mileage stuff to get the better stuff they want in a package deal. Also check with the used car manager at some good new car stores. Tell them what you are looking for. They should find you something in no time. They usally just wholesale all the high mileage stuff so you never see it. Scott 97XD
