Southdown 4x4 out of business

Looks like Southdown just shut down this year. I wasn't a huge fan of their snorkel design, but it was as close to a Mantec as you can get.

Dear Land Rover Owners,

Age creeps up on us all and the time has come for me to semi retire.

Southdown Snorkels are no longer in production, along with affiliated Land Rover products.

Thank you to all my customers for all the support and purchases over the years since 1989.

I have met an amazing and diverse range of individuals, companies, military personnel through out the years that has truly been an enjoyable experience and something, that in my latter years, i will truly miss.

However, we cant go on forever.

I will be continuing toolmaking and injection molding for existing non Land Rover projects, along with design and development in certain sectors.

Thank you all for your custom over the years, and wish you all the success with you hobbies

One of the coolest parts I ever purchased was a Southdown fuel skid plate. Fits like a glove, and look at that galvy! Best $100 I ever spent.
