Spring rates, am I retarded?

I've searched for a comprehensive list of RTE springs and their rates and somehow I've come up empty. So either I'm retarded or such a list doesn't exist.
If there is such a list please point me to it.

*I'd like to see a full list, but will settle for the rates on RR4-3 and RR4-3P.

You might as well be looking for fairy dust... Need the following and I can get it close doing some math:
Diameter of the spring
How many coils
Uncompressed length
Diameter of spring wire

Progressive or linear

Or maybe KC can help you...

I was thinking they were in the 300 in/lb range. I asked Steve a long ass time ago and that number sticks in my head.

Seriously, WTF!? How can this info be so hard to find? And should the rate on the Progressive be variable? Doesn't a Progressive spring start out at one rate, then "progressively" get stiffer as the spring compresses?

Can't believe nobody has called me retarded yet, LOL.

They used to have them on their old website. I'm not sure why they took them down. Maybe because they've changed manufacturers so many times and they have different rate.

I needed it and was never able to find it. But yes, progressive is a variable rate coil spring. Linear is the same spring rate the whole time.

From RTE:

Brett,
Here are some numbers for ya - We only make the 3" coils now.

RR1-2 = 2" Coil 330/375 rate
RR1-3 = 3" Coil 330/375 rate - Current Production
RR1-5 = 5" Coil 330/375 rate
RR2-2 = 2" Coil 189 rate
RR3-1 = 3" Coil 285/325 rate
RR3-2 = 3" Coil 285/325 rate
RR3-3 = 3" Coil 285/325 rate
RR4-1 = 2" Coil 225 rate
RR4-2 = 2" Coil 225 rate
RR4-3 = 3" Coil 245 rate
RR4-3P = 3" Progressive Coil 200/320 rate - Current Production
RR4-5 = 5" Coil 255 rate
Thanks,
Bill

What formula do you use with those figures?

Would be nice to have a list of all the RTE springs and what they would lift each a D1 and a D2. Certain springs lift the D1 and D2 differently.

Any answers you get from individuals will be all over the place. The same springs will appear to give more lift on a truck that had well sagged springs. Then there's add ons like bumpers and sliders and winches. Then there's bound to be variances on how people measure. Your best bet is to probably talk to Bill at RTE and see what he says. Or talk to Lucky8. Someone who lifts lots of Rovers and can tell you what their experiences are.
