Squeaking noise from front end

By front end, I mean front of the engine. Sounds like a pulley. Besides, I have a hard time believing the fan clutch would go bad at 140K...

..but that's why I'm here! Being new to this, I'm curious what peoples experience here is. Are the pulleys on the front of the motor problematic? When and where are people seeing failures here? Does this squeaking normally indicate something in particular? How long do these water pumps last?

Tomorrow I'll be heading to the dealership in the hopes that there are service records so I can see what's been done by the previous owner, if anything.

The accessory belt was already on the list after a transmission service (did the diffs two weeks ago) but it looks like I'll have to switch that around.

Thanx in advance! :)

There's a trick to diagnosing belt squeaks with water. I could describe it, but Gates made this video to explain.

I was going nutty trying to figure out the source of the squeak before I did this. Put water on, and it was silent. Replaced belt - problem solved. I highly recommend Goodyear Gatorback belts... They seem to be more tolerant to misalignment/imperfections/etc.
