The movie was fantastic, and I was at home last night thinking-
With the altered time concepts, has JJ Abrams made it possible to do a whole slew of new movies?

It was one of the few movies I have seen where the audience cheered at the end. I thought it was fun.

No, but I heard your booth did some mad action last year. Did you sell out of YugiOh! man thongs again?

I watched the TV show in reruns as a kid, but never really a Trekkie. I am a huge fan of LOST- you can see the parallels between the struct ure of that show and the ST movie.

Star Trek was awesome. Very, very fun. The series were awesome too, but they took a little while to figure out why you cared about the characters. From a historical perspective, however, they were a major landmark, and addressed many social issues that otherwise would have gone unchallenged.

JJ has signed the cast on for two more movies at least, so I think he'll be continuing the alternate universe awhile longer!

saw it over the weekend. definitely are setting up the "alternate reality" for a whole string of new movies. this way the die hard trekkies don't burn Abrams at the stake and it can all be couched in the "alternate reality" explanation.

my wife actually went with me and really enjoyed it too. go figure.
