Yep 15" tires are everywhere, I'm icking up 15" Krawlers for 100 each when they retail 320.

When i switched to 15's I got a set of brand new Pro Comp Xterrains for 500. Honestly, you can almost buy a set of wheels and tires, for the same price as some of the 16" tires.

Steel wheels wise, Justins are a pretty good buy!

and on ok off road is 75
more than 75 on a steel wheel i will go with alloy but i like the black look on them .
more choices in tire selection and cheaper .

Very true! You can find 16"tires easily, but 15s are cheaper and you have more variety. I agree with the CL comment. I buy most of my tires from craigslist and I can find 15s all day long in multiple sizes, tread patterns, and are more affordable. It took me 2 months to get a deal on my 16"s.

Call Allied. You can specify your backspacing which is pretty nice if you're running a little larger tire. A friend of mine purchased a set of 15" Beadocks with 2" BS for $113 a pop. I was quoted at around $160 each for 16x8 beadlocks from them.

I agree, I don't know if I will ever throw a 38+ on this truck. You do see a lot of 16" wheel tires in ~35+ and I also see a shit ton of 16.5's

I just looked up some tires on Tire rack, 15s are way more available than 16s and if you can find the 16 in a similar size they are more expensive. I am planning on running 33x12.5x15 on steel wheels until I re-gear and throw 35s on and there where 19 tires available in 15" and 0 available in 16" or similar size even. I would buy 15s but that is just my opinion. Just think the tires look bigger on 15s!

This is a valid consideration, and completely outweighs the E load rating of 16" tires. It's okay if the sidewalls fold under the wheel in a turn every once in a while.

That is a good point! I was hauling 500 gallons of water the other day and it made me nervous the whole time. There is nothing worse than a folding tire.
