Hey guys,
My steering box is leaking pretty bad now after the winter romp i think all the extra torquing around didnt help the seal. Is it possible to replace the seals in the steering box or better to just order a used one?

i put a meridian rebuild on mine. Life is too short to rebuild calipers or steering boxes. Let trained monkeys do that for you.

With a meridian box and the saginaw pump this thing steers better than any other off road rig I've owned.

I don't know about d2's though, stuffs probably different

You can get a rebuild kit from W. Tillery. I Think Daniel Chapman's putting one on. I need to do the same.

don't buy one that is a LR remanned, I dont know who rebuilds those, but they suck. I have had 4 leak including the latest one. 100 miles till it leaked. one of them even had a bad gear in it and would hang up and had rough spots and tons of play.... I didnt even replace the original because of leaking, i hit a rock funny and bent the worm gear inside........

Yeah I am either going to go with a rebuild kit or a reman. First choice is a remanufactured unit. I was getting away with just a bottle every 100 miles or so but now I cant drive more then 30 minutes without the tank being empty again, Going to order one up as soon as I can find a remanufactured unit. If I cant find one of those ill get the rebuild kit and take it apart.
