I apologize for not responding, picking back up on this thread.Airbag module?
Your going to replace the cruise switch in the steering wheel because you have replaced everything else in the system and it's the only thing left? Is that the reasoning here?I apologize for not responding, picking back up on this thread.
I don’t see anything I can plug it into on the steering wheel or in the steering wheel column area.
I’m also going to be replacing the steering wheel cruise control switch this weekend and thought maybe it was related since mine isn’t working and I’ve already changed out all of the other CC components.
I missed this part.I’m also going to be replacing the steering wheel cruise control switch this weekend and thought maybe it was related since mine isn’t working and I’ve already changed out all of the other CC components.
So far i have replaced the tubing (air tight via sucking on the tube) , vaccum pump (bought/tested by local rover mechanic) and brake pedal switch (made sure it actually moves when brake is pushed via extending the arm). The switch in the dash lights up after taking apart and cleaning (did this one and about 8 others that werent working but now are).Your going to replace the cruise switch in the steering wheel because you have replaced everything else in the system and it's the only thing left? No LED lights in the vehicle.I missed this part.
Do you have LED bulbs in any of your brake lights?
did you check the vacuum diaphragm that holds the throttle linkage ?So far i have replaced the tubing (air tight via sucking on the tube) , vaccum pump (bought/tested by local rover mechanic) and brake pedal switch (made sure it actually moves when brake is pushed via extending the arm). Yes, I make sure it moves with the regular throttle when pulled, make sure the vacuum seal is still functional.did you check the vacuum diaphragm that holds the throttle linkage ?
Is this possibly related? Id rather pull and re-solder.If this is a D1 the CC ECU is known to go bad. Replace with an updated unit from a GEMS P38. You'll need to change the pigtail too, or do surgery on your new CC ECU.
If you have not opened up the cruise eco and looked for burnt up drivers, do that. It's got 2 drivers in it. One closes off the vent in the pump/ the other runs the vacuum pump. One of those 2 drivers has probably shit the bedIf this is a D1 the CC ECU is known to go bad. Replace with an updated unit from a GEMS P38. Any telltale signs of a burnt up IC? I’ll look for scoring but I’m sure the smell will have disappeared by now.If you have not opened up the cruise eco and looked for burnt up drivers, do that.
