Is the pretty straightforward (i.e. easy) to replace the steering damper on a DII??

I'm looking at the OME Steering Damper for $80.
I'll start there... eventualy replace the shocks/springs with OME down the road.

What sort of improvement should I notice if I replace the damper?

it's stupid easy.

there shouldn't be a huge difference if you're replacing it on the '03, depending on mileage.

if your kingpin bearings are loose, panhard rod bolts are loose and bushings are shot, wheel bearings are worn out and loose, and you've lifted your truck leaving zero caster angle, yes - a new OME steering damper may make a difference between a death wobble and no.
