Hi all, I've got a '95 DI....upon viewing crutchfield's website it seems I'm really limited in my selection of radios due to a 6.5" mounting depth. I like the dual 77xx model and it is about 7 inches in terms of depth...will there be a problem with mounting this and other 7" unts or is crutchfield covering their butts saying it won't fit?

Dual is junk, and is probably the reason they needed 7 inches to get all the same shit in there that a better radio like Alpine only needs 6 in for.

yep, you'll regret buying a dual in about 6 months when it takes a crap on you.

spend your money on something worth buying.

thanks for the non-Dual suggestion, I just wished someone would build an HD and Bluetooth combined reciever w/o getting into adding components...however what about the mounting depth...is that hard and fast or have you all been able to get 6 1/2 models in without problems. I pulled the old head unit out today and saw the back mounting plate for the rubber and was a little bummed to say the least...

Look at the following brands if you are picking out headunits:

Pioneer, Alpine and Eclipse. They are considered the best by most people and they are high quality. They tend to be more expensive but you get what you pay for.

I know that Pioneer has some headunits with Bluetooth integrated. Alpine has an awful bluetooth system...just warning you.

yeah, really interested in the P7000BT unit from Pioneer...found this very interesting on crutchfield's page, the P5000UB unit has a mounting depth of 6 3/8" vs the p7000BT's 6 1/2" and they say the latter won't fit even though mount depth in the 95 is 6.5"...WTF is up with this crap!

verified with tape and its 6.5"....I just wish crutchfield would keep the story straight with their radio fitment guide. I emailed them today, hope to hear something back, I'd like to listen to something other than gear whine and wind noise!
