When we had our 110 in Brasil the insurance company insisted a LoJack be installed on it before issuing a policy. Can’t say I blamed them as we were living in São Paulo.
Sucks getting a car stolen.

I got one of these gadgets I put on my boat trailer when parked at the public boat ramp or when I'm staying at a hotel. Twice I've returned from fishing to find the police taking reports of a stolen boat trailer in the VA Beach area.

That looks like a more up to date concept. We were in Brasil in 2006 so technology limited.
Great application though and thx for info.

About two or three years ago we had to take our vehicles and have a monitoring device installed. Drove to this shop, were taken in through a side door into a break room where we had to stay until the installation was complete. Seemed a bit over the top considering all I had to do was google the company name and their website described pretty much everything they were doing. Anyway, fast forward to last summer and some meth head breaks into the DNR maintenance shop. Not the first time that's happened but this time someone had left the keys in one of the trucks. State police caught up to it not far from the state line. The woman driving ended up being caught after a foot chase through a field. They could see that the truck was driven to a residence in town by the mook who stole it. The people who lived there were a husband and wife who dealt in stolen vehicles. They changed the license plates, taped over the DNR stickers on the doors, and were taking it to the chop shop when apprehended.

It's my understanding that a lot of this is now handled by the OnStar type of programs if equipped. They'll wait until the vehicle is stopped and disable it.
