Storage under rear seat

Has anyone cut out the factory floor and welded deeper pans under the back seats of their RRC? Always looking for more storage, and I think there's room under the truck to do it.

i was under a classic yesterday. . . here comes the rain on your parade:

where the pass area raises into the loadspace area (where i'm assuming the "storage" unit will go) is the big ole cross member that the a-frame is secured to. Doh!
