Strange Noise and no Tachometer

Alice,

Did you try gunning the engine?
Stomping on the gas pedal?
Reving the crap out of it?

Like StrOud mentioned, it usually only occurs under loading. By reving the engine you might get it to squeal like a pig for me (sorry-I had a Deliverence flashback).

Hope you get this before your trip to the squealer dealer!

Hi,, Did your mates remove the belt to check the bearings? and spin the alt and bearings listening for noise and checking for play??
