Strange possible central locking problem, '04 D2

Before I start I have a dead actuator (dead on the unlock side, lock works) on the Left/Rear door, that's not the problem here.

Starting yesterday, it seems that my central unlock has stopped working... key fob only disables alarm and button on dash (for unlock) does nothing. To actually unlock doors I need to use the key (from the outside) or open the doors via handle from the inside.
---
Advice from D-90 source I checked out the fuse for this circuit, not blown.

pulled the fuse for the Central locking circuit, heard a click, replaced (in-tact) fuse. All was well. Everything worked as it should. Went outside a few hours later to get something from inside, no response from remote (other than lights flashing). I pulled the fuse again (not blown) replaced and still dead. I'm thinking its cold weather related...

No and probably not, battery 4-5 months old and behaves the same with either remote or using the button on the dash.

does it lock the doors?

i have seen all 5 lock actuators fail in the same day... cold temps will make weak ones stop altogether sometimes.

i would pull one that worked before and check the voltage and see if it is in fact a bad actuator or other issue.

Here's the weird thing, it worked after I pulled the fuse and replaced it. Its like it was "stuck" and cutting the power fixed it. I'll see about pulling the actuator this weekend.

Related question, How the hell can I open the rear door without a keyhole in the outside (thanks Rover!) and without electricity at the actuator? the inner handle seems to only open the door if its already unlocked.

You need to have someone with a t4 or rovacom disable superlock.

It sucks to try to get it open in that mode when the actuator fails.

Another update... Wifey drove it today, once it was warmed up, put the fuse back in everything (other than the known bad actuator) worked. Something being cold is definitely causing this. So weird.

I'm looking to disable superlock soon.

grease your rear door latch too while youre at it, that thing will freeze up mechanically rendering the door completely useless, cant open from inside or out.

I have a 99 DII that when the weather is cold none of the gauges work the locks wont work and the security system wont work along with some other stuff. it is the BCU!!! i wish i could cut that sucker out.

Met up with Rovertek last week when I was on the island, he disabled superlock and auto locking upon reaching 4mph, it seemed fixed. But then it got cold the next day and was doing the same thing. BCU going bad is the current theory, thoughts?

Has it not been discussed before that the fuse block inside the car becomes rotted and can cause these issues.
