Its got a shot of me on my tank, i had to do a double take.

Its diffidently my tank, but it may be after i got my face burnt off. One of the grunts at a CP in Fallujiah must have taken it.

Its got some death metal to it, so turn up your speakers!

I thought about starting a thread to inform the rest of dweb about Berkeley, but I decided against. Just didn't want another "senseless thread".

...anyhoo, as you were Gunny.

When I read the thread title I envisioned something more along the lines of two girls one cup. That being said, awesome find you are now a movie star!

Just for clarification, it's not the University that's messing with the Marines, it's the City of Berkeley. Having gone to school at Berkeley, and been on the more conservative side, I can say that the City of Berkeley is, well, let's just say that this kind of thing is pretty typical. The University, however, is much different. There are plenty of conservative student, faculty, and organizations on campus. The ROTC program is extremely active, and overall, well received by the students.

Mainly, just understand that the University of California, Berkeley is an entity very separate from the parasitic City of Berkeley whose residents' lifestyles is by and large sustained only by their gauging of the student body.

Face burned off?

and which tank?

There is one with a M1A1 on a road with a small concrete divider and a minuret in the right (as you look at it) background. There is a Marine sitting behind the .50 with a hand on his comm helmet, thats me.

We had a license plate from an Iraqi taxi right in front of the loaders hatch and a snow white doll on the gun mantle as our "good luck" charm.

My loader let off a pop up flare inside my tank when we were going over some bad ground, i was inside when it went off and caught the blast of the rocket on the left side of my face. Luckily my Oakley's stopped my eye from getting cooked, but when i turned away from the pain i exposed my eyebrow and it got partially singed off.

This was a couple of days after, most of the blisters had popped and you cant see the charred part of my lips where the foam wind sock for your mic melted to them. You can see where my ear cups on my com helmet was. It took 5 months to heal and i couldnt go out in the Iraq sun, and they wouldnt send me home so i got to watch the COC at night. It was loads of fun.

Bunch of jackasses.

My son emailed me the article from a Berkeley newsrag about this, saying he can't wait to bail out of the city... Technically, he lives in Oakland, and Cal is state property, not city.

You're at the 2:32 mark of the video

sorry to hear about the accident. Glad you're OK. If any of the Dweb vets are coming through Phx, let me know. I'm buying the beer.

My mistake, when you said "hope the government takes their funding away..." I thought it possible you were referring to Cal rather than the city.

As I said, just to clarify in case anyone else misunderstood.

PM: How can your son stomach that crowd? My brother's wife and parents are graduates of Berkley and I can not stomach being around them for more than a hour. I did not realize you went there... Dam now ill never be able to talk with you again...
