Hey everyone,

Just wanted to update you ont he saga. Joe Baroni @ LR New Orleans came through on the brake/clutch pedal switch, the three I had were all dud's, veh' is now happily shifting. 'Lack of starting!' I trudged over the old posts on the site and found one on a D-1 parked at a precarious angle uphill, well as it happens mine was uphll and at a strange port starboard list. The fuel guage said 1/4 tank but I chucked in some more juice. Still no luck I took off the battery and charged it over night, I then scrubbed the terminals and the clips for good surfaces = fired first turn of the key. Now though I have a KEY issue the bloomin thing is stuck in the ignition or the ignition will not release the KEY, any suggestions? Somebody wrote that the veh' will drain battery juice over night. I am off to the local veh' parts store to have the battery checked.

Thanks again everyone.

Trev,
Make sure the truck really is in park. My cell phone charger cord got pinched ever so slightly in between the selector and the housing and the key would not come out. Try shifting from N to P a few times to see if there just happened to be a bid of crud or a penny or something in there.

Thanks chaps,

I switched from P-N a few times, to no avail. I replaced all fuses again and they beast gave up the key. I didn't get to have the battery tested today but will try tomorrow or Monday.

Thanks again all

Help is most appreciated.

Stuck in Park

Could the transfer case selector have slipped into neutral?? Happened to me on the weekend and drove me crazy for half an hour. I was in park, etc., etc., etc. and could not figure it out. Phoned a friend and that was the first thing he suggested and that was the case.
