After talking with a few LEOs, the Taser is a effective tool that helps protect them and the suspect. Sure, so little bible boy is too much of a candy-ass to take 12,000 volts, maybe he shoulda had another bowl of wheaties for breakfast or thought of that before pissin off the law. He should have listened to the police the first time they told him to sit the hell down and shut the hell up. The only reply to a LEO should be, "Yes Sir". Apparently, they keep it real. I guess someone shoulda told that idiot about this...
Before, officers would have to wrestle them down. Now its just pop-pop-pop. Mr. violent 350lb Cracky McCrackhead is on the ground and cooperating instead of attempting to injure other people. So many possible problems have been foiled by the use of tasers, I see it being a good LEO tool for a long time.

No, not funny when someone is killed like that. Was this really a criminal, or maybe just someone who "lost it" temporarily. Was he really being a danger to someone else, or just making a lot of noise and commotion.
Shot twice with a Taser.....maybe he wasn't struggling, but convulsing from the first shot?
Think about it a little...was potentially lethal force necessary here? (and there's been enough deaths due to Tasers that it could qualify)...What ever happened to old tried and true techniques like a cople of whacks with a club??

Supposidly, using a club is bad and when you think about it, a clubbing usually requires medical attention while a taser blast wears off.
LEOs are properly trained in the use of their devices (I mean, unless you have some first hand experience with the use of tasers in law enforcement). If the LEO says that he was still being a dumbass after one hit, then he was. Officers are trained to know when someone is having a bad reaction and when someone is still being a jackass.
You are right, this isn't funny. This should be a lesson: when a cop tells you to do something, DO IT. The police in this instance did everything correctly. The only problem here is the little Bible Boy...huh...funny how that works out.

Bullshit, I have seen plenty and heard of plenty more LEOs lying through their f@#$ing teeth to save their ass or their buddy's ass.
Cops are people too and have to the same potential shortcomings. They are not gods or superheroes.

I have been certified with the TASER and let me tell you it hurts like a mofo you cant control your boday and drop like a hot potato. It has made pepper spray yesterdays news because after you are tased you dont have to worry about decontamination. Its a good tool for LEO today.
