Has anyone relocated their subs to the d- pillar on a disco 2? I'm thinking it could work and might want to figure it out as I'd like to put sheet metal on the cargo door, but don't want to lose what little bass the truck has. I know I would have to replace with new sub speakers, so I need 2 ohm of I use the factory amp and just run the wiring right? It works on the d1's from factory so why not a d2?

Brett cut out the metal mounting surface in the door and attached them to the steel door panel i believe and drilled lots of holes to have a speaker grill. Maybe he will chime in but I'm going to go that route when I get around to my rear door panel.

I trimmed down a stock sub and screwed it to the backside of the door panel. I also had to trim some sheet metal in the door.
Hacked down sub sitting on the bumper and some of the cutting on the inside of the door.

How's it sound inside the door like that? I'm no audiophile but I'd like it to sound good.
