Has anyone used the Super Pro polyester bushings, from Australia? Are these really any or much better than the Polybush polyester bushings, from England?

I know that Polybush has blue (comfort), orange (dynamic) and red (performance) versions. Is any particular color better than the others.

I have the Polybush blue on my 1995 RRC, for about 8 years, and one of the bushings is extruding out, on one of the left front axle. The steering got loose after an off-road trip on the Miller Jeep Trail, and when I inspected the vehicle I found the extruded bushing.

I know that I could go back to OEM rubber bushings, but I have also seen by many different posts that the quality varies by the actual manufacturer.

I am planning to replace all the bushings, and replaces all the bolts, nuts, and washers.

PT Schram had some interesting thoughts on this subject based on his experience selling, installing, servicing, and using genuine LR bushings. I can't recall the full story, but I seem to remember him saying there was a lapse in quality for a while. A search on the Discovery tech forum might turn up some informative threads.

I also used blue Polybushes on my RRC. I only kept it for about a year after I installed them so I can't speak to their durability but the performance gave me no complaints.

First off, you suit is Polyester. The bushings are Polyurethane. I've had good luck with my Orange Polybushings. My used RTE panhard rod came with a yellow polyurethane bushing on the axle end and its still good 3 years later.
I'm replacing the heim joints on my shocks with polyurethane bushings.
My experience with Polyurethane bushings has been very good.

My experience with non-genuine(or at least non-genuine quality) bushings has been AWFUL. I had a pair of trailing arm frame bushings fail after ONE day of fire roads. I had panhard rod(not my RTE) bushings fail after 2 months. I've had A-arm frame bushings not completely fail but totally shift to one side of the sleeve within a couple months of install.

Bottom line for me is I won't touch a bushing that isn't Polyurethane of Genuine(quality).
