STEVE WHAT SIZE ARE THOSE SWAMPERS ON THAT DISCO? IT LOOKS SWEET!

I think Curtis was running 32x11.50 15's at that time.

As for lift, my truck with the 35's had RTE 5" springs front rear which ended up being a 4.25" rear lift and 5.5" front lift. Now with the little 33's I have the same rear springs with 3" front springs with a little under the front (angle wedge and a plate to move the perch back 1.5") and it's about a 4" lift now. Somehow the front and rear RTE's never seem to match up perfectly. The fronts are always a tad taller.

I sold my tires today so its crunch time. My rover is still a garage queen and lifting it would kill that. I can go alittle taller but not much. Which tire is taller.....a 285-75-16 BFG or the 34-9.50 LTB. I rolled a 285 up to the rover today and thats too big.
Has anyone run the Radial TSL 265-80-16? I would assume this would be a little taller then my 265 BFG's.
The 34 LTB is my future tire but I want a good suspension lift first. I am just running a CB lift now.

Give me some last min. advise. I am going to order Monday!! Thanks for all the pictures!

The best advise is to get on BFG's site, and interco's site and check out the actual dimensions. See what the tire you have on your truck measures out to and go from there.

Thanks for the pics Steve. Were you still planning a dvd of pics and video from moab?

Just wondering.

Here is my ride now on 35's. They aren't swampers but they are swamped:D

I was with a guy once who said "Man, I aired down alreay to like 22psi. I've never gone that low." I laughed at him.

in a lot of those pics above, the tires are not bulging at all. makes me wonder... Maybe they're just poser shots.

9psi... gcr 15x7 & 33x10.5 make a good combo :bigok:

Thanks Steve, Maybe by next trip I'll have a camera of my own. I just don't want to buy on yet because the technology is almost outdated. I mean why buy digital when soon I 'll be able to buy actual or virtual cameras or something.

Same as my Avatar....but
285/75/16's on 16/7 steelies - Yokohama Geolandar MT's.
Not exactly swampers. 3" RTEHD lift, and 2" body lift 41" to the fenders in the wheel wells.
The tire mfg seems to make a big difference. I air down to 20psi, and its the sidewall that collapses. At 15psi they almost pop a bead and I have smashed the rims at that pressure. So....(and I am on the West Coast), with these tires 20 psi is good running low. My buddy has the BFG MT's that have a much stiffer sidewall and he airs down to 10-12psi.

Thanks for all the advise. I ended up getting 265-80-16 TSL Radials. I mounted one and aired it up to 30 psi and then took one of my BFG's off and aired it to 30psi and put them next to eachother. The tsl is about 3/4 inch taller and about half inch narrower. They look real good and ride very nice.

I will post up some picts soon.

Glad you got a use out of this post - that's the ultimate benefits of a board like this (not the BSing going around...)

I am glad I am not the only one noticing the BSing going around. I have given my opinion several times and have been flamed hard for it a couple of times. Oh well, I guess its all part of webwheeling, everyone is so big and strong over the interweb!!
