Very Nice 2000 Land Rover Discovery SD7

Hello, thanks for looking at my car.

I have uploaded my pictures to this site,

http://s510.photobucket.com/albums/s349/cmtoth12/2000%20Land%20Rover%20Discovery/

This is a 2000 Land Rover Discovery SD7

It is an awsome car and i love it. It drives great. Beleive it or not, I never took it off road. I don't have any trails to ride it on. The only thing i did was take it down a hill in my grass back yard to feel the down hill asent work, and it works like a charm. It is my dream car, but since my uncle is giving away his disco 1, I can't pass up a free rover. I just feel like this car, babied too much and held back, and is capable of much more than what I could use it for.

It features:
SLS
ACE (really cool !!!!) (amazing how it works)
its a 2000 so the wheels can be locked (CDL) with one of those cables
83,000 origonal miles
Very strong engine (no leaks) (just got 18 MPG with the rack)
Harman Kardon Premium sound
Ipod charger and direct connect
Jump seat
Brush Bar
Safty Device Roof Rack
Roof lights
Rear back up light
Rear step
2" spacer lift
Trailer harness (never got to use it though)
Almost new tires
Winter Package

Service and Parts:
oil changed every 3,000 miles
-greased joints and drive shaft
Transmission oil changed
-new bosh plugs
-newer powersteering pump
-new radiator
-new radiator tubing
-new MAF sensor
-new air filter
-new cerpentiene belt

Everything works on this car. All the bells and wistles work perfect. All lights were installed properly with NO drilling. Please feel free to call me with any questions or to come by and see it, 443-465-9285 or email me at cmtoth@email.msmary.edu

Definatly open to suggestions too.
What are your thoughts?

Price is $7,999 o.b.o. (not far from kelly blue book)
Located in Owings Mills, MD 15 min outside of Baltimore

Come on..... whats wrong with it?

I have a very clean '01 with only around 60k miles. I was trying to sell it so I could purchase an '04 G4. It was listed on Craigslist for $7500 and got one bite.

Good luck but don't expect much more that $5500-$6000.

First of all, thanks for all the advice. I know how much i've spent so far, and how much I love the car, so its hard to put the price lower than the books.

well, i've done a lot of stuff to this car, and it runs like a champ. The rack alone is a good amount of money.

Do people rather buy a striped rover?

Let me make this easy on you....

The people on this board already own Land Rovers. If you're coming here to sell a truck, it should fit into one of the following categories:

1) Be cheap as hell
2) Be cheap as hell and well equiped
3) Be cheap as hell and only good for parts
4) Be something completely different

Your truck fits none of those categories.

I'm only doing that for your own good. If you want to see a real beat down, check out some of the other classifieds.

Sell the rack and spkrs, then sell the truck just stock (put back the rear cubby and barn door stow). You would do better selling it local than here on this board. Good luck!
