In most places, nuclear is the way to go, in theory. It's just the fear of a Chernobyl, three mile island, or Fushikawa, that keep it from being used more. But in reality, any new power generation is evil according to the sierra club and other environmental groups. Coal, oil, and natural gas pollute. Nuclear is evil because everyone will die of radiation. Hydroelectric is evil because dams dont let salmon swim upstream, solar fields are evil because they use up open chipmunk breeding space, wind turbines kill birds, offshore wind farms will kill fish, etc

That is one of the points the movie is trying to hit upon. No one wants to have the energy production near them but they want the benefits of it. If all of the production is bad and evil what are we to do? What are we going to switch to, and how do we get there?​
