Hi Guys, Just rebuilt the swivel hubs in a 99 series 1 Discovery. I found that the lower swivel pins were held in by torx head bolts. They were T40 size. It was only luck that I had the right torx bit on hand. I hadn't seen any mention of this on any of the land rover forums. Everything I had read only refered to bolts.
The swivel hubs in mine have only got the fill plugs for the one shot grease with no drain or level plug. So if your going to pull down a set of these swivels it might be worth checking to see if you will need the torx bit. It would be a pain to get that far and then find you were missing the tool.
