Was turning a sharp corner in a parking lot and heard a clicking sound from the front end that went away as I straightened out. Then about 8 miles later, went around a corner and the vehicle stopped all forward motion with a spinning ringing sound coming from underneath. Did the same in all forward gears and reverse. I put it in diff lock and was able to drive the final couple of miles home.
Foot brake on, parking brake off;
Standard mode high range, forward and reverse, front drive shaft spins, the vehicle will not move, rear drive shaft does not move
Diff lock mode high range, forward and reverse engage with a jump and the vehicle moves, both drive shafts move
The same results for low range...
Broken axle or CV joint, or something worse? T Case or Trans? I have not tried any wheel spinning tests yet.
