I use the CDL on my '04 in winter whenever the snow gets deep, but don't use low range very often. It will now not shift into Lock or Neutral under any conditions. Rave shows the '03-on have a H/N/L interlock on the shifter. If I use a long bar to depress the plunger from underneath my kid can shift it out of hi range, so the solenoid is probably toast. There is no interlock on the CDL but it just won't budge in that direction. I doubt it is the cable because H/N/L moves freely and it sees far less use. Has anyone had one of these fail internally or jam somehow? I would like to have an idea of what I might be looking for before I pull the center console apart.

yes, there is a known issue with one of the sensors that can thread down too far jamming the shifter. unthread both of the sensors on the front output housing that face upwards and see if that frees it up. there was a "fix" iirc that was some aluminum washer or something along time ago...
