T Case Info

Are there any markings on a T Case to see what year vehicle it may have come out of? Also are the 03 & 04 cases stronger. If so can their internals be used to rebuild an older case? I am trying to end my CDL envy, so any help would be appreciated.

Only the 04 models have a diff lock. The LT230Q has quieter gears and may be otherwise updated to handle the power of the 4.6.
