i would but those are computer controlled, also auto levelling so they are a real nightmare to make work not to mention $1200.00 a pop. I am leaning towards hid head lights and fog or driving lights maybe even off road lights, i saw where some were available on an ebay website all of them for about $700.00 with a 1 year warranty dot legal. I would get to keep the 7 inch round headlight but with une hell of a beam using up to 60% less voltage input with a brigther out put.
maybe just maybe.

You should check out rangerovers.net. The headlight swap has been done with p38's and I don't think they have the auto leveling functioning.

Most however are under the impression that the classic should stay classic. It is a beautiful vehicle in its own right, kind of like a Rolls Royce.

That would be an interesting thing to see if you get it done though, good luck.

I work for the stealer, so those come by as replacement almost on a daily basis, right now I am in the process of installing a 4.6 into my 95 classic, the rear light guards are chipped and rusted, as soon as i can drive it to the shop I will take measurements.
as a far as the conversion having been done on a p38, there is a set of those identical to on the lr3 but it is not hid, it is a byxennon non levelling.
icould use the self lleveling with out the computer but that means I would have to secure the projector beam just the right angle ahead if by any chance they need to be adjusted inthe future it will be a p.i.t.a.
at this time is is though in progress that may lead to an actual project if an when it does I will post the outcome.
