I am looking around for another/additional disco and have found one that I like the price

problem is...(and i guess why the low price)That the TC light the ABS light and the hill decent lights are all on in the dash cluster

the hill decent button is not pushed and the ABS did kick in when I slammed the brakes on a wet road .

any DII owners out there deal with this error?

its a 01 DII

Thanks

Could be a loose or broken wheel speed sensor. They are used by all the systems you mention.

Hi Thom

I had the unholy triade come on and it usualy means that one of the ABS sensers is reading bad. since the ABS did kick in it is probably working at reduced capability ( ie: 3 wheel ABS)

Since all that stuff uses the same ABS hardware they all go on.

Call Farmington Hills or Lake Bluff and find out how much to fix it, since mine was under warrenty I don't know, or get them to diagnose it and you repair it and they reset the codes after or what ever.

Good luck

OH, there is an exotic car garage I can't remember the name but is north of North Ave behind the crate and barrel and container store going towards the Whole foods and Best Buy he may be able to help there are usually a few defenders in the front of the shop.

I just had that problem with the 3 error lights. The problem ended up being the main ABS control module on the drivers side of the engine compartment. The problem would come and go...that is, sometimes I would start it up and everything would be fine, other times, it would always be faulty. Anyway, thanks to my extended warranty, the $1500.00 part was covered. I would stay away from that disco. But, as Ross said, it could only be a bad ABS sensor and thus 3 wheel ABS. You should have it professionally checked out before you even consider buying it.

thanks guys

I will bet on the unseated sensor.....its at a non-rover dealer and it just had new pads put on by a used car hack mechanic.

the truck is spotless clean other then bald tires and the three lights on....and because its about 4k under market for the miles and year I am sure it will serve my purpose.

as far as taking it in....like every other car I'v owned I'll just wing it and fix it, just takes a little while to figure out the quirks of a new model year.

Thanks again Ross,Jamil &DiscoII

The place you are thinking about in Chicago is David Cooper's

Cooper Technica
1385 N. North Branch
Chicago, IL
312-440-0711

The shop is primarlly a restoration shop, mostly old Series vehicles. However, David is a very nice guy with years of knowledge from working on LR's.
