so i think my tcase is missing a bolt, and that might be why it leaks pretty bad, and it might not be the input shaft. Anyhow, does anyone know what size bolt is used to connect the rear of the transmission to the tcase? and where i can get one at?

any reason why you'd be missing a bolt? they dont just fall out. The cross shaft is a gauranteed leak point on those and almost something you just have to live with until there is a reason to pull the Tcase. thats the only way you can seal it up proper.

No clue why it is missing. It looks like the previous owner redid some of the seals. Not sure if it was pulled or not. It doesnt leak when it is sitting, but definitely does when driving. If its not the bolt, then its the input shaft seal.

My hope is that once a bolt is put in there, the vibrations will stop, and so will the leaking. Otherwise, im going to pickup a used tcase and put it in because i believe you have to pull the tcase to change the input shaft seal, so might as well just replace it with one with less miles.
