I have the RTE ones on my truck. Basically the same thing. They work. The adjustability is nice to have. They do exactly what they are supposed to do.
I vaguely recall a few folks not liking this style since the pivot point is not at the stock location, which makes for a shorter swing but not by much. Everything is a tradeoff.
