Current set up on my 04 D2 is OME 2" medium duty springs with RTE front and rear bumpers. I'm running 265/75 BFG's. I'm looking for a little more lift since I added the RTE armor especially when its loaded up with gear. I've been eyeing the Terrafirma 3" lift with +2" shocks since it appears (after searching dweb) I don't need to do as much with the radius arms, linkage, driveline, etc.
My questions are:
What do you think I'll gain in additional lift with the TF 3" kit?

Or should I just add spacers to the OME 2" and +2 shocks?

I tried searching for the answers but came up empty. thanks in advance.

Do you need more lift or do you just want it to look cool or perform better?

Is the extra weight not effecting how your truck feels on the road? If not I'd say just add spacers if you're looking to go cheap. You will have an extra inch but thats all you will have gained..

If you're looking for performance go 3" RTE springs and Fox or Bilstein shocks.. It's not that I dont like the Terrafirma stuff it's just that if you're gonna step up and spend the $$ to have a better set up you might as well pay a little and gain a lot more.

Looking for more lift to perform a bit better. The OME springs are medium duty and are a bit soft especially in the front. Originally thought I'd do the RTE 3" but felt the 2k package was a bit steep and probably would have to add slightly larger tires too.

265/75 tires look fine with my rte 3in lift. I'm also pretty sure that the ome shocks for a 2in lift are not 2+ inches. I think they are only slightly longer than stock.

Go with the Terrafirma lift. it should be what youre looking for. I went with the OME 3" a while back and found out that the shocks are too short. I will be swapping out my OME shocks for the TF.
I carry 4 people coolers and a bunch of gear when off road. The HD lift works great when its loaded down, but its a little jittery when its unloaded.

This is the sort of three I've been looking for.

Is the TF 3" a true three or a little taller?

KRover, have you had any driveline, brake line, steering issues since it's more than 2"?

I know the OME 3" lift ends up a little over 2.5 with a heavy laden vehicle. Not sure about the TF?

No major issues. Ive have a vibration at 75+mph. but that was there before the lift.
The front end does get a little jittery over bumps if the truck has no weight in it. Im hoping that goes away when I install a winch and extra battery.
Technically you dont have to replace your brake lines with the OME kit, but I recommend doing so anyway. When one of the wheels is in the air, the brake lines were too tight for my liking.
The only real problem I have is the shocks that came in the kit are too short for these springs. I plan on installing the TF +2 shocks in place of my OME shocks. I would love some Fox shocks, but not willing to spend that kind of money for a truck that wont ever be a rock crawler.
