They are. We should be in SA the weekend before, and come up Thursday.

This morning's conversation with my boss

John: “I want to take time off to attend a Land Rover rally in Texas.”
Boss: “Take all the time off that you want.”

Boss: “Ewww, is that John Mayer?”
John: “Yes.”
Boss: “Change it.”
John: “Linkin Park?”
Boss: “Linkin Park is good. I like Linkin Park.”
John: “Okay.”

WHy not ride down with Justin? JohnK may be looking for someone to ride down with (or ride with him), too.
I want to come out and play. I have been granted the vacation time.

My preference would be to ride with someone. My RRC would need quite a few shop days of preventive maintenance before I would feel comfortable to take it on a trip that far.

I have a few questions:
Daniel, how fast are you going to drive heading there and back? I want know if I can keep up with you if I drive.

What is Hidden Falls like? I'm skeered of hardcore rock crawling (especially if I'm 1,570.1 miles from home).

I might try and come down. Will have to wait until a little closer to figure out work schedule and If I have time to do head gaskets.

Tami and I still have to arm wrestle to see who's truck we're taking. If we take my truck, I can maintain 70-75mph pretty comfortably once I get out of the mountains. If we take Tami's truck, we can actually run the posted speed limit in TX, 80mph.

We may be going a twisted way too, though. There may be a clown in SC who wants to join in the line. If he goes, we'll be taking the southern route to I-20, passing through B'ham, AL, and then cutting west.

Hidden Falls has every kind of trail. I have been out several times, done trails and driven home.....my truck is my DD.:)

You're killing me, man. I think I'd have to go back to stock gears to maintain 80.

Drive both trucks. I'll ride with Tami and open beers for her.
