Last year we ha a pretty sweet spot. Not sure how to decribe it, but it was near the back of the property just outside of a nice level field. Real shady, level spot. Even had a little shelter back there. The trees blocked the constant wind and day time sun. In the evening we hung out in the field.

I just I need to have my truck there this year.

I'm planning on it. Had to bail this year, but maybe my luck will run better in 08. And by luck I mean getting a D1. At least I've got Nittos on the minivan now. Oh, and I've got a a tow rope, too. I'm pimped. :p

What spot are you talking about? Out in the open field?
The clubs camping spot is completly in shaded woods although for an evet like SCARR, people did camp out in the clearing and another group camped below there.

I'm talking about the 2005 camping spot that the San Antonio crew had. It was on top of a giant, treeless, sun-scorched, fire ant-infested tailings pile. Oh, and near our campsite, an RV had dumped their septic tank and their dried ass-tape was clinging to everything.

Anyway, glad to hear that there are better digs now.

The nice thing about this year, since we have the entire park, you can camp anywhere. Several of the other campsites now have pavillions as well. We've cleared a bit more out of the shaded area of the campsite, hoping more people will setup back in the shaded/tree area.

I'm ready! This should be a good one....

Lots of clay. Some ledges and rocks. LOTS of trees. Many of the more difficult trails are very tight for full size vehicles. Dusty when dry and damn difficult when wet. All terrians struggle if its wet at all. M/Ts a big plus.
