okay, well since I doubt anyone else will do it.. I want everyone to post reviews of their bumpers, and I'll compile up a list and hopefully it will get posted to the tech section. I'll start, and please, even if someone already lists your bumper, feel free to add on to what they have to say about it.

TJM T-15 Bumper -- Cost: $740 Shipped

Pros:

  • Maintains basic stock look while giving extra protection to the front, and an increased approach angle.
  • Fits a winch (Superwinch X9, Mile Marker 70-50080C and 75-50085C, Warn XD9000, and Ramsey REP9000 winches) with additional winch tray [~$140]
  • Air-bag compatible

Cons:

  • Can not mount recovery points to front of bumper, must buy seperate winch tray [~$140], and mount hooks along side. This is due to the bumper being air-bag compatible and the crush-cans not the strongest.

Installation:

Fairly easy, remove current bumper, and bolt on new bumper. No cutting required.

Ok, I'll play...

Bumper: My design "Custom V2" (2 built in total) - soon to be replaced by V3
Cost: ~250 all in all
Built by: me
Material: 8mm sheets, 8 bolt hook-up to the chassis (original, no re-drilling), 50mmx4mm tubes & 30mmx3mm tubes
Weight: approximately 100lbs
Approach angle: +55 (with M8274-50, 35" Simex, 2.5" OME, and 2" BL)...

Pics are in my gallery

Pros:
1. cheap
2. EXTREMELY strong (3 snatch blocks, 2 hi-lift mounts at the same time)
3. "MINE"
4. light, compact, and very functional

Cons:
1. "ugly" to the "wavey eyed"
2. V3 yet to come
3. Can't make money off of it (willing to sell for 400$ each :))

I'd tell you about my custom made bumper but it usually draws some sort of debate. Nadin I will email you photos I think you would be proud of me. sent some photos of the rover to Tarek and got a good review. If my middle eastern friends like it it must be good. :D
