I just completed my cross country drive from California to Conneticut. The Disco ran like a champ the whole way over. My favorite part was the approach to Las Vegas at 8 pm and it was about 105 degrees. Overheated cars left and right, and the disco chugged right along--beautiful.

Anyway, I digress. What I really want to know, is:

a. Is there a good LR indie shop close to New London?

b. Where is the LR welcome mat from you Conneticut yankees? Any local clubs or just some regular weekend offroad-warriors? :D

I go to a shop in guilford about 50 min from new london back to the west, south on 95 exit 58. If i wasnt at school i would have said hello. I live in New Haven and you drove right threw there. I dont know about places in new london but that is where i go, he used to work for land rover for a while and is a good guy. Unfortunatly back where you just came from.

Rob,

Must of been a good road trip. Sounds like you've finally been reassigned. Didn't get a chance to say good by. Had fun wheeling with you and Shane at Hollister.

Will, good to hear from you. Next time I head over to the left coast I'll look you up. For now, its time to get back to the real world (grad school was a little surreal for my taste).

Nick, do you know the name of said Indie shop? I take it its pretty close to New Haven.

thanks for the welcome guys. sounds like there are some rover enthusiasts up in this corner of the country. i am looking forward to doing a little off-road sightseeing, so let me know about any upcoming local events. from what I have seen so far, CT is a pretty nice place, and I bet there are some good trails around here.
