96 Disco I... So I have my dash apart wiring in some new switches and I figured I would check the alarm spider while I was in there. Trouble is I cannot find it. I'm talking about the part referenced in this thread .
I see it pictured in the ETM on the RAVE CD but in my truck there is no box in that location. I suspect the spider is no present on NAS discos, when I search the ETM for "spider" it is only mentioned in the "except NAS" section. But in the thread above there is no mention of a difference for NAS Discos.
Another possibility is that someone has hacked the alram in my truck. I did find a 10 pin connector on the same harness as the radio stuff that is wrapped in electical tape and it does not look like a factory job. But my alarm works - I have set if off on accident before. And the LED works and I get the 3 flashes of the turn indicators when I lock/arm it. So if it is hacked then somehow the alarm is still functional.
So my question is, can someone with a 96 NAS Disco verify that the spider is below the radio like the above post says?
