As I sit here pondering the circumstances of the world, sipping on my third large alcoholic beverage, yes officer that is all I have drank so far, I have come to a realization.

the greatest joy in the world, is getting off that RJ flight, tkaing that long walk to the counter of the US Immergation booth, being called forward, placing my passport and CAC card on the counter.Tthen having the stamp on one of many stamp covered pages, having it handed back to me and hearing the words "WELCOME HOME" uttered to me.

All this to say, Fuck me, its good to be home!!!!!

i just got a few of my troops back this weekend. They said it was 105 degrees when they left! If you have to go, fall/winter/spring is the best time to be there, although missing the holidays with family...that really sucks.
