Heres the story... Bought a 65 series IIa a little less than two months ago, replaced the brake parts, fuel pump, dropped the fuel tank and cleaned it out. I rebuilt the weber carb, changed out the distributor cap and rotor arm (ducellier type) and adjusted the tappet gaps last week. Found one rod(??) was not connected to the tappet and causing a major tap. Anyways, the truck has driven great for the last few days, got up and drove it to work this morning, no problems at all. After work, ~9 hours later I got into the truck and it cranked right up, idled fine, and then as soon as I put it in gear and gave it gas it would sputter and die. It would idle in first and drive the truck at 5 mph, but no more. It would also rev up and not miss a beat as long as the truck was in neutral. Eventually it got to the point where it would go for a few seconds, then go in short spurts, sputter and die. Anyone have any ideas what the issue may be? Help please...
