James Kauchis, a DSS accounting clerk, confirmed he made the complaint, but denied further comment.

I went up Portsmouth, VA on a Monday to retrieve an 88 that I had shipped to me via RORO from Liverpool. Turns out that Monday was Jefferson Davis day and the particular union that handled the transfer was not working. I could actually go and see the truck. I could even drive it around the parking lot. But, since nobody was there to "Inspect" it...I couldn't put it on my trailer.

I asked and asked and tried over and over to slip people money but, everybody had the same reasoning. They would be FUCKED if they overrode the unions bilaws. I offered a guy $200 bucks but, he was worried so much about losing his Union job that he refused.

There was 1 condition that I could get the truck...I could pay a guy Time and a half at $35 dollars an hour for a full day to get that truck on my trailer. Then another couple hundred bonus just to make it "Worth his while" for him to make the trip to provide a signature.

A week later (5 hour round trip),4 hours of waiting for him, and 15 minutes with this douchebag....and I had my truck on a trailer headed home....Theyll as little work as possible just to get paid.
