Now that I am temporarily Rover-less I wanted a new toy. Picked this up a few weeks ago to use as a track day car and part time DD.

Is it actually an M3 or is it a 325/328? I see it's got the mirrors and it would appear to have the seats... Either way, that thing is super sharp. Makes me miss my E36.

Its a 92 325i with a full 97 M3 S52 conversion...trans, rear subframe, diff etc.
Lots of engine and suspension work. PO did swap most all interior and exterior pieces from a donor M3.

I was looking for a nice E30 to no avail and this came up by chance. I went to take a look at it and bought it on the spot. Truly remarkable condition for a car that is 20 years old.

Wow. I never would have guessed it was that old. I had a 92 325is and it didn't look anywhere near that nice the last time I saw it which was over 6 years ago. It was also red, and BMW's early 90's red paint wasn't exactly known for its durability.

Agreed. Of course there is also this gem. Not sure why one would pay $3,500 to carbon film wrap an entire car.

Yes. It did about 1,600 miles with no problems returning 18-19mpg with the aircon on.
