Just some pics of the new 33'' Trxus muds in action. I would give these two thumbs up.They ride smooth and quiet on the road, but where very grippy on the rocks, and they looked unscathed after hours of wheeling........Now lets see if I can get the pics to work this time....

Did you bob the rear.
is it hard to tell? Very clean looking
The truck looks great, I was admiring the pics earlier on Pirate. I am looking at these tires, it seems like a large number of people are switching to them on trucks that see some road miles.
What is the plan for the stock bumpers? What are your plans for the rest of the truck-- keep us posted. I occasionally hope for a rollover just for an excuse to try this.

Travis,

I love that setup! Convertible, 4wd terror and daily driverable all in one.

Did a rollover precipitate the roof cutting, or did you just say 'Screw it! I'm going topless!'?

At first, I just bobbed it and left the roof on, But the lines just looked strange up top where the two lines met up....Sooooo I said F it I wanted a cage anyway. It really was not hard at all. A few sawzall blades and a crappy wire feed.Had it done in two days.(cage took a week) This past weekend I smashed up the right side doors pretty good, so I really need to build some sliders, or just remove the doors compleatly. Im on the lookout for another body to try something new with. Maybe someone can answer me this...The truck has lost around 400-500 lbs since I started(no glass/no door motors/no interior/no hatch/no rear frame section/no ac....and lots moore removed)I have collected a few sets of 10 splines, to carry on the tail....And I was thinking about welding the rear diff...Anyone think I could get away with it for a while??????

2 pin rear? not on the road, not for long. Trailer queen and it might hold up for a while, but 10 spline is just not much for endurance. 24 spline DI stuff goes in really easy, as does a locker...

something else you might wanna look into is trailing arms. i've seen the stock ones pretzle pretty quick with big, grabby meats.
rig looks great though. love the cage.

i'll look you up next time im in AZ. or you should look me up if you wanna do SoCal

We've been a big fan of TrXus here for about 3 years...but there is one "Gotcha" with them.

In all the sizes we've been running, they've been very quiet (from 31's up to 35's) and the tread wear is OK (Not as good as an MTR or BFG) but in sizes over 33" we've seen them come in less than round. Not a huge deal if you run 25psi on the street, but if you run higher the things will have you in dialasys.

Basically, just remember it's an Interco and enjoy the grip. Having run TrXus and MTR's they performed amazingly similar back to back out here in New England, but the MTR's cost TONS more and wore better.

About that Convertible Look

Any thoughts about leaving the window frames and windows in? I think the setup looks pretty cool, I would want to be able to close it up using a canvas style top (like a Defender).

Yea, At first I did, But I dont have the cash to do an axle upgrade anytime soon so, I was trying to make the truck as light as possible,Plus it rarely rains here in sothern AZ, and its not my daily driver.
