tell me what you thought, this is the first of these and I am interested in your opinions for next year. From what I saw it went really well, not crowded at all.

Well, I think that people shouldn't litter the property with their mufflers that fall off of their trucks...:D

I thought the size was perfect. I was mentioning to some others last night that I only ran into other vehicles on trails twice. Once was when Kavic was winching through the bypass at the log bridge. The second was when there were four vehicles winching up out of the river onto the East end of the island. For once, it felt like we had the place to ourselves.

As far as the people goes, it was much more low key and less of the "party all night" endeavor (which I've been guilty of myself). I was actually able to get some sleep. Food was good, raffle was good. Weather, well, I'm not going to complain because we've all seen the worst that place has to offer.

My only complaint... spiders. I woke up yesterday with about a dozen nasty spider bites all over my back.

Ok, I have two complaints. I missed the old black lady with her collard greens and cornbread.

x2. And the reason why Kavic was on the Bypass was that I was being an old lady on the log bridge and being too careful with bumping the rear tires up (to the point of winching instead of getting a run at it)... was it me, or was the big log on the downstream (not the one next to the smallish tree) side very loose this year? Looks like the log on the upstream (near the tree) side has snapped, and the cable is letting the big one separate from the rest.

My muffler came home with me, albeit in the back of the truck. It is so loud I can barely hear the radio on the road.

It's supposed to be black (not that you can tell with the mud and trail rash), but yes.

Maybe I wanted it to be grey like mine.

How do you like those Nittos? I have M/Ts on 16's right now, but I have the HSE rims like yours also. I am on the fence about getting ATs for those HSE rims...I appreciate any comments from you.

It was loose and a bit slippery. I had to have some good momentum climbing it from the downstream side late Saturday night and things got a bit hairy after that. Probably the most "pucker" I had all weekend.

They did OK. I winched more than the rest of the group, which was a combination of tires (not mud tread) and caution with the DD. They guys with dedicated trail rigs and/or a trailer to get home were a bit more persistent (and successful) than I was before going to the winch.

Being 285 AT's, they were getting their grip on the sides of the ruts, and floating on everything else. I love them on the road, but want a set of 33x10 muds on my 16's for anything approaching slick. Just comes down to available cash.

I'll keep my Nittos for on-road and mild stuff.

Edit: Just re-read, and fixed it 33x10 not 33x10.5. Oops.

Thanks. I didn't mean to highjack.
When my Hancooks need replacing, I think I'll go the A/T route and then save my M/Ts for URE and the like. Thanks for the info. The ROAV pictures look like yall had a great time.

Def had a good time, liked the low-key atmosphere, no big traffic jams. All told, well worth it and the weather was fairly pleasant. Spending time down at the river was awesome.

My second pass through that area I took the bridge and I just wasn't comfortable jumping the truck up onto it. It kept getting crossed up with the driver wheel just a little too close to the edge for my comfort. I ended up winching the truck 5 feet until the back wheels were on.

BTW, My problem was a shredded rear link bushing.
